Two women and one man are suing the singer Usher after he slept with them and did not reveal he had herpes.
Lisa Bloom, who was the lawyer for Blac Chyna in her revenge porn case against Rob Kardashian, is set to file a lawsuit against Usher in California on Monday.
21-year old Quantasia Sharpton, who is one of the alleged victims, spoke at a press conference in New York City on Monday morning. She spoke of the fear she had when she found out about Usher’s disease.
She went to the singer’s concert when she was 19-years old, for her birthday. She said she was wearing a crown when she was selected to go backstage and meet Mr. Raymond.
Usher showed interest in her, according to Sharpton, and she said the two had “sexual contact” and she “never heard from him again” after.
She has tested negative for the disease after having a child last year.
In July, it came to light that Usher had settled a suit in 2012 with a woman who claimed he gave her the disease. When these documents came to light, another woman filed a $20 million lawsuit against the singer.
“I feel like my rights were violated,” she said. “You need to warn your sex partners, so they can make their own decisions.”
Lisa Bloom then spoke at the press conference.
“At least one of my clients has tested positive and alleges that it was Mr Raymond who transmitted it,” she said. “No one in America, even a popular celebrity, is above the law.”
