Video has emerged of Colorado students being held down and forced to do the splits, where it’s clear they are in immense pain as they beg their coaches to stop.
Ally Wakefield can be seen in the video, which is 24 seconds long, in serious pain as she is being held down by new coach Ozell Williams and three other cheerleaders.
In the video, Williams can be seen pushing her back, and the cheerleaders push her legs down as she is seen screaming “Please stop” and “No I can’t”.
Five employees, including Williams have been put on administrative leave and an investigation is being held by police.
Wakefield spoke to KUSA after the videos emerged, as the station received footage of eight other cheerleaders being forced to do the splits at a camp in June.
“It was tearing my ligament and my muscle at the same time. He was pushing down on the back of my right leg. He was pushing like with his other knee on my back to try to keep my posture straight,” said Wakefield.
Wakefield’s mother also spoke to KUSA: “This is a grown man pushing my 13-year-old girl so hard against her will while she’s crying and screaming for him to stop that he’s ripping tissues in her body.”
