12 inmates broke free from Walker County Jail in Jasper, Alabama on Sunday night around 6:30pm.
11 of them were recaptured, but one is still on the run. Two of the inmates that broke free are serving time for attempted murder.
The sherrif’s office said a $500 award is being offered for information. Authorities are still investigating how the prisoners escaped.
Among those recaptured include: Johnny Richard Hunter, Christopher Cole Spain, Kristopher Keith Secrest, Quadrekas Latoddrick Key, Timothy Chaz Cooper, Steven Sanford Hartley, Larry Inman Jr, Ethan Howard Pearl, Steven Blake Lamb and Michael Adam McGuff.
Brady Kilpatrick is still on the run and Christopher Smith was captured Monday morning.
Jasper Police Department told residents of the area to stay indoors and keep their lights on. People in the area took to social media to express their thoughts, with some saying they would “shoot” the prisoners if they saw them.
