American Horror Story fans the wait is over! Tonight is the highy antiipcated premiere of the new season of AHS: Freaks Show! I believe I speak for everyone when I say I have never looked forward to Wednesday so much since, well, the last season of AHS.
The cast, including Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters and Michael Chiklis attended the exclusive premiere at TCL Chinese Theater in California, on Tuesday. Creator Ryan Murphy praised the cast, and specially thanked Lange for coming up with the idea of Freak Show“. He said: “This is our biggest and most moving year. “I think you’ll agree this is our most exciting year yet. Get your freak on!”
However, not all was well at the premiere. There was some major shade being thrown around from Lange to actress Lea Michele on the red carpet. You’re probably asking yourself “Why Lea Michele? Is she part of the Freak Show cast?” No she’s not. Which raises many eyebrows, considering she was shamelessly soaking up the spotlight on the red carpet. While paparrazzi were taking photos of her, Lange strolled by. Michele said hello to her, but Lange wasn’t impressed. She breezed past Michele as if she did not exist. Watch the shade here:
That’s not all! Murphy recently announced that he is bringing a whole new series to our tv screens. It’s called American Crime Story. The first story the show will tackle is the O.J. Simpson case.
“Season 1, which will be 10 episodes, is titled American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson and will be based on Jeffrey Toobin’s book, The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson. The series was originally in development at Fox, but has since moved to FX. The network’s CEO, John Landgraf, said in a statement that he hopes the show will “become a series of great true crime-based miniseries.” – Huffington Post
Murphy said “The O.J. case was as tragic as it was fascinating — it seemed like everyone had a stake in the outcome. It was really the beginning of the modern tabloid. The first season will tell the story from the lawyer’s perspective while also recounting the LAPD’s history with the African-American community.”
Catch the premiere of AHS: Freak Show tonight at 10pm on FX.
