There’s been buzz that Apple is about to release two, new versions of the iPhone 6, and The Hot Zone has some more information about those rumblings. They’re set to debut this fall, and apparently, they will be quite a bit like the earlier models with some key changes to look out for.
First, these news phones are going to come with Force Touch-ready displays, which means that there will be an additional layer of sensors. The phone will be able to tell the difference between regular touches and harder touches with these new displays. Thank goodness – I can’t bear to open Google Maps by accident again.
Also, the phones will be 0.2mm thicker than the models before it. It will also be a little bit taller. The options for color will be different as well. Apparently, the gold will be more of a yellow gold, while the space gray option will appear darker. Apple plans to release a rose gold iPhone later this year.
An Apple analyst also revealed that these phones will be made of 7000 Series aluminum, which is a big deal given past problems with the iPhone 6. If you remember, the phone cases started to bend after being used for awhile when they were released last fall.
We’re excited for these new iPhones, and we hope you are, too!
