Apple is heavily rumored to announce the iPhone 7 today.
On Wednesday afternoon, Apple will hold a presentation at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, Calif. Tech junkies from all over the world are waiting in anticipation, as the iPhone 7 is basically confirmed to be announced.
Despite the presentation not yet taking place, several new features about the iPhone 7 have already been leaked. AppleInsider reported the changes to the iPhone, including the removal of the headphone jack, the addition of wireless headphones and a second external speaker being added to amplify the sound.
One of the most exciting additions, which is sure to help every iPhone user out, is the new storage tier. The iPhone 7 will be available for purchase in either 32GB, 128 GB or 256GB, rather than the 16GB, 48GB and 128GB options in older models.
Similar to the Apple Watch, the iPhone 7 is also heavily rumored to feature waterproof capabilities, making it more similar to its top competitor, the Samsung Galaxy.
For those of you tired of the gold, silver and rose gold color options, the iPhone 7 will be available for purchase in two more colors: Dark black and piano black.
However, not everyone is excited about the iPhone 7. According to Daily Mail, some technology sites are advising users to skip out on the iPhone 7 and wait for next year’s iPhone 8, which will mark the 10-year anniversary of the iPhone. These experts believe that the 8 will feature many more updates than the 7, in honor of the milestone, so it would be worth the year-long wait.
To find out everything about the iPhone 7, tune into the official Apple announcement, which will take place Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 10 a.m. PST/1 p.m. EST.
