Ariana Grande announced this morning that she will return to Manchester, England to hold a benefit concert on June 4.
The benefit concert will take place at the Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground and will feature special guests such as Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Coldplay. The proceeds will go towards those affected by the attack.
Almost two weeks ago, 22 people were killed and many more were injured at Grande’s concert during her ‘Dangerous Woman’ tour after a suicide bombing. Grande cancelled her tour through June 5. She has not announced when she will return.
Grande shared an open letter on Twitter in which she said that she would be there for the victims.
“I extend my hand and heart and everything I possibly can give to you and yours,” she shared. “Should you want or need my help in any way.”
She described the attack as “heinous” and encouraged her fans that they shouldn’t “recoil”.
She went on to thank her fellow musicians for helping her put together this benefit concert and said that what brings everyone together is music.
“Music is something that everyone on Earth can share. Music is meant to heal us, to bring us together, to make us happy. So that it what it will continue to do for us,” she wrote.
Tickets will go on sale on June 1 through Ticketmaster.
