Barron Trump has been left ‘traumatized’ by Kathy Griffin’s image of his father which circled the internet on Tuesday night.
Griffin created a storm on social media when she posted an image of a mannequin resembling Donald Trump’s bloody decapitated head as a ‘joke’.
However, the reaction was not of laughter, but disgust. Donald Trump tweeted at Griffin early Wednesday, stating his 11-year-old son was badly affected.
“Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick.”
Griffin received a lot of criticism and has apologized for the photo-shoot with Tyler Shields.
“I sincerely apologize. I’m just now seeing the reaction of these images. I’m a comic. I crossed the line. I move the line, then I cross it. I went way too far,” she said.
CNN hosts, Anderson Cooper and Jake Tapper said that the image was inappropriate and that they will be looking into this year’s New Year’s Eve coverage which Griffin co-hosts with Cooper.
Cooper took to Twitter on Tuesday to express his thoughts.
“For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate.”
Griffin has also been suspended from working with Squatty Potty, a bathroom products brand.
