The gloves are coming off.
Iggy Azalea is always in the headlines. Unfortunately, it’s never about her talent as a rapper, but usually because she bites off more than she can chew.
This time she’s unloading her arsenal of excuses on Britney Spears, who she blames for their collaborative work “Pretty Girls” flopping terribly. Apparently, the Australian rap star is blaming Spears for being lazy and not promoting the song, despite the video being widely publicized. Azalea complains that she is merely a feature on the song, and a lack of shows led to the songs failure, insinuating that if she had been the main name involved the song would have topped the charts. As if that shade wasn’t dark enough, Azalea finished the job with her comment, “I don’t have to suck Britney’s a**hole 24/7 to be her friend, do I?” Ouch.
Well, Britney was not pleased with the shots fired in her direction and responded with a below the belt comment of her own. Referencing Azaleas cancellation of her Great Escape tour back in May. Spears tweeted how thankful she was to have tours to look forward to all year followed by the hash tag “You want a piece of me.”
Take that, Iggy!
