NBC insiders released information that Bruce Jenner will have a sit-down interview with Diane Sawyer to discuss his gender transition. According to an inside scoop from NBC, Diane wanted the opportunity to conduct this anticipated interview. This sit-down will be Jenner’s first interview about his gender transition.
Jenner, 65, has been in the public eye for years, and there were no signs of any feminine attributes. Since his divorce from Kris Jenner back in 2014, he has been seen sporting longer hair, painted fingernails and flashier jewelry. Jenner has not however come out to the public in his own words about his gender transition. But there has been a lot of speculation surrounding his recent change in appearance.
An NBC news source has told reporters, “Diane Sawyer is familiar with the LGBTQIA community” the NBC insider also included about Sawyer that, “She has also been honored by GLAAD.” Diane is an excellent choice to conduct this interview having conducted interviews like the groundbreaking sit down she had with Ellen Degeneres in 1997 about her coming out.
Jenner’s interview is said to air in May and portions of the interview are planned to begin filming this week.
