A man has driven through a crowd of trans lives matter protesters in St.Louis on Wednesday night.
A memorial for Kenneth Herring, also known as Kiwi, was being held when a Mercedes drove through people who were on the road.
The 30-year old black transgender woman was shot dead by police on Tuesday night in St. Louis. She stabbed an officer and a neighbor with a large kitchen knife.
A white male was later arrested.
“Tonight, a group of protesters marched from the Transgender Memorial to the intersection of Manchester and Sarah were they blocked traffic in all directions. A vehicle approached, stopped, honked its horn and attempted to drive around the protesters,” police spokeswoman Schron Jackson told the Riverfront Times.
St. Louis Post-Dispatch photographer David Carson posted pictures to his Twitter page, and also tweeted about the incident.
“Car just drove through protesters on Manchester, few injuries not major, only scrapes. Driver fled police chased not pulling over,” he said.
The three people that were hit refused medical attention, and suffered minor injuries.
