This is pretty disturbing.
The Chicago Tribune reports that 19-year-old Mohammad Hossain, a freshman at University of Illinois at Chicago, has been charged with sexually assaulting a young woman in his dorm room.
The two were familiar with one another, having been intimate before. They arrived at Hossain’s dorm on Saturday evening (Feb. 21), where he allegedly asked her to remove her clothing. She complied, remaining in her underwear.
Hossain’s next move was to bind her arms and legs to his bed using two belts, and stuff a necktie into her mouth. He covered her eyes with a knit cap, removed her underwear, and started to hit her with a belt. He didn’t stop, even when she cried out for him to stop because he was hurting her.
The arrest report continues that he allegedly hit her with his fists as well and, at one point, when she managed to free her hands, he held them behind her back and sexually assaulted her despite her pleas for him to stop. Hossain’s roommate returned to the dorm, and Hossain held the door closed so that he couldn’t enter.
The victim left the dorm, told someone else about the assault, and then called police. Hossain was arrested at another dorm that same night.
Allegedly, he told police that he wanted to re-enact a scene from Fifty Shades of Grey.
Hossain’s bail is currently set at $500,000.
