Country stars, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lamert, are getting a divorce.

Wait, what?!

Yes, it’s true. After four years of marriage, the power couple is calling it quits.

The pair has only had wonderful things to say regarding their relationship, with Shelton commenting just last year, “I love talking about her, I’ll talk about her all day if you want to.”

Lambert even told Marie Claire about her great relationship with Shelton for its January issue, divulging, “He pulls me out of my darkness … Literally, everything is the best about being married.”

So, everyone is wondering, what happened?

Well, maybe it’s because Shelton and Lambert have had difficulty managing time together due to their busy schedules. Lambert admitted to this in April at the Academy of Country Music Awards, but claimed, “I feel like our relationship started on going separate ways and we just made it work and we make sure that our time together really matters, so when we’re apart, it’s not really a big deal because we know when we’re together, we’re really together.”

We can’t believe it’s over!

Shelton reportedly filed for this divorce some time ago, but the news just reached the public today after the couple released a statement to the Associated Press on Monday.

Their representatives said in the statement, “This is not the future we envisioned, and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”

This is really happening, people. Remain calm.

The two artists have no children together and reportedly have a prenuptial agreement.
