Ari Nagel, 40, is a 6-foot-2 CUNY Kingsborough math professor and has been a sperm donor for the past 12 years. During the years, he has helped conceive 18 women and have 22 kids altogether.
For lesbian couples and single ladies, going through the process of a sperm bank can cost up to thousands of dollars and Nagel makes it easier for them to have a child. Half the time, he plants his seed into the women the old-fashioned way. Other times, he prefers to supply his semen into a cup.
His oldest child is 12-years-old with a woman he was in a relationship with, but all his other kids are all from donating his sperm. He uses public bathrooms, his favorite places being Target and Starbucks shops, and then gives his cup samples to the women.
Nagel has been sued successfully by the first 5 women he has “worked” with for child support. He says, “I don’t know what’s more surprising: that five sued or that 17 didn’t. They were all well aware there was no financial obligation on my part. They all promise in advance they won’t sue.”
He has kids in Florida, Illinois, Virginia, Connecticut, and Israel. He sees his kids once a week, some one a year, and others he have never met. Nagel has no regrets though, he is currently talking to several women about making babies with.
