Last week we reported players of the St. Louis Rams taking part in a silent protest by making gestures referring to the incident that happened in Ferguson, Missouri. And now, Chicago Bulls player Derrick Rose was seen in warm-ups wearing a T-shirt with the words “I can’t breathe” which was obviously referring to the Eric Garner case as you can see in the tweet below:

Garner had died after a Staten Island police officer put him in a chokehold, even after Garner was begging to breathe. And most recently, it was announced that the Staten Island officer was not going to be charged. Honestly, these kinds of silent protests among athletes are to be expected, and there is nothing wrong with it. It just creates more awareness about the issue, which will only lead to be positive reforms in our society.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Rose left the locker room after the game without speaking to the media.
