It is official! Disney interactive presents its newest toy meets game attraction: Marvel Superheroes. It is to be released this fall. The newest 2.0 edition was announced this morning in a special event, in Los Angeles by President of Disney Interactive Jimmy Pitaro. Marvel’s editor-in-chief Joe Quesada eventually took the stage after the initial announcement to talk about the collaboration between Disney Interactive and Marvel Comics.
Joining the fabulous team is award winning comic book writer and longtime illustrator for Marvel Comics, Brian Michael Bendis. He is being brought aboard to create the story of the game. Together with Quesdada, Bendis unveiled the newest six figures of the new game. They are Black Widow, Captain America, Hulk, Hawkeye, Iron Man, and Thor.
The vice president and general manager of Disney Infinity, John Blackburn, added that along with the new figures all old content from the previous game will be compatible with 2.0. That includes all toys, power discs, play sets, and toy box levels. A wonderful new addition to the old features is that all new play sets in 2.0 are larger than in the original for one very important reason… 2.0 characters can fly!
Characters will be able to climb sides of buildings and even perform super jumps! Talk about an upgrade. 2.0 will be available on ps4, ps3, Xbox360, iOS, PC. Want to check out the debut trailer? No problem, take a look for yourself and be sure to get your copy of Disney Infinity 2.0 this fall!
