Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was dis-invited from a conservative gathering in Atlanta Saturday. Trump insulted debate moderator Megyn Kelly, saying that “there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever,” during a heated GOP debate on Thursday. Trump received heavy criticism about what he said, and people implied that he was referring to inappropriate body parts.
On Friday, Trump tried to clarify on his comments, saying that he was talking about her nose and not other body parts people were implying. Nonetheless, RedState’s Erick Erickson, withdrew Trump’s invitation from the event on Saturday, saying that “It’s disrespectful to Megyn Kelly. It’s disrespectful to female journalists. I don’t want my daughter in the room with Donald Trump.”
Trump’s campaign later released a statement calling Erickson a “total loser” who “has a history of supporting establishment losers in failed campaigns.” They also said “only a deviant would think anything else” about Trump’s comments towards Kelly. Trump seems to barely bothered by his dis-invitation from the conservative event, but this could possibly hurt his presidential campaign.
