Donald Trump continues to do what he does best — tweet.

Tuesday night was the first and only vice presidential debate of the 2016 presidential election. Senator Tim Kaine and Governor Mike Pence battled it out, trying to prove why their respective running mates would better serve the country.

Of course, Trump decided to live-tweet the event. Instead of trying to fight back at some of the comments Kaine made against him, Trump decided to retweet some unusual messages about Hillary Clinton’s running mate.

In one tweet, specifically, Trump referred to Kaine as a villain from Batman.

“Kaine looks like an evil crook out of the Batman movies,” Trump retweeted.

He retweeted messages calling Kaine a fool and less likable than Pence.

The debate featured a calm Pence, while Kaine went on the attack by frequently interrupting Pence and trying to get him to defend comments made by Trump.

Kaine’s interruptions proved to be a bit too much. A poll conducted by CNN showed that 48% of viewers thought Pence won, while 42% believed Kaine was the winner.

Despite the viewers and, based on his tweets, Trump thinking Pence won, all is not well within the Trump campaign. A source told CNN that they thought Pence did a good job, but he didn’t defend Trump enough.

“The media is saying Pence won, but didn’t really defend Trump. That isn’t sitting well with the boss,” the source revealed.

While this was the only vice presidential debate, Clinton and Trump will face off two more times before election day. Their next debate is Sunday, Oct. 9.
