Another professional sports player, Dwight Howard, has been accused of beating his son with a belt. Dwight’s lawyer is blaming his son’s mother for the ‘baseless accusations.’

Howard was allegedly accused of hitting his son, Braylon Howard, 6, with the buckle end of a belt. After a medical examination of the small child revealed “patterned abrasions,” the Houston Rockets player is now being investigated for child abuse.

On Nov. 18 it was revealed that Houston Rockets forward Dwight Howard is under an active criminal investigation due to the accusations that he abused his son.

After TMZ revealed the news of Brayson’s medical examination after his father, Dwight, allegedly used the buckle end of a belt to hit him an investiagtion began.

Dwight has reportedly admitted to using the belt on his son, but his excuse for doing so was allegedly that it’s how he was once disciplined as a child, so therefore he did not know that what he was doing was “wrong.”

The incident allegedly happened in Georgia. The investigation was opened by the Division of Child Support Services.

There is no word yet on whether or not Dwight is still allowed contact with his son while this investigation is in motion.

Dwight’s accusation of alleged child abuse has sparked a fued of words between the basketball player and his son’s mother,Royce Reed.

Dwight’s lawyer claims that Royce is making up the “baseless” accusations against the pro-ball player in order to “extract” money out of him.

“It is appalling to see a mother use her son as a pawn against his father in an attempt to extract money, which is what is happening in this case,” the lawyer told TMZ.

So HotZoners you be the judge in this case, is this a case of real child abuse or just accusations?
