We all love hearing good news, and luckily for Leah Still, she heard a great one!!
Leahs father, Devon Still, Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman, shared to social media that her latest cancer scans came back negative.
If you followed up on the Still family, you’d know Leah was diagnosed with Stage IV neuroblastoma in June 2014, (and given a 50-50 change to live!!) Nothing but good news was hoped and prayed for, and thankfully the follow-up test shows she’s still in remission.
Devon shared a picture that said “Scans were stable from last time: there was no neuroblastoma detected on the scans.” He brought the joyful news to Twitter and Instagram when he wrote, ‘Just the email I needed heading back into camp..the tests from today came back negative.’
We are so glad to hear it!
Even with a couple of distractions, Leah never fails to have a smile on her face. She also won the Jimmy V Perserverance Award at the ESPYs on July 15, and even challenged Riley Curry to a dance-off.
Leah is the face in the fight against pediatric cancer. She starred in the Sara Barilles and Cyndi Lauper video “Truly Brave” which was done by TODAY’s Hoda Kotb. It raised more than $500,000 for the American Cancer Society. And she’s even writing a children’s book with Devon called “I Am Leah Strong.” She’s even walking runways for NYC Fashion Week!
You are a superstar, Leah. We wish you all the best.
