Another health issue has rocked Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
On Sunday, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee attended a memorial service in New York for the 15-year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
According to Independent, Clinton had to be rushed out of the service, because she was not feeling well.
A video of the former Secretary of State’s exit was captured, and it has gone viral. The video showed Clinton’s aides helping her to her van. She appeared to stumble and almost fall to the ground, causing her aides to help her back up.
Many of Clinton’s critics referred to her stumble as a “collapse.” However, Clinton’s campaign said that she simply felt “overheated.”
Clinton was then filmed leaving daughter Chelsea’s Manhattan apartment. Clinton told reporters she was feeling much better.
It was definitely humid on the East Coast today, so it is very likely that Clinton was overheated at the memorial service. Unfortunately, for her campaign, this incident could not have occurred at a worse time.
In a recent attempt to prove he is better suited for the job, Clinton’s Republican rival, Donald Trump, has criticized her for not being healthy enough to serve as president.
To fight back against Trump’s claims, Clinton’s physician, Dr. Lisa Bardack, confirmed that she is in good health.
“To reiterate what I said in my previous statement, Secretary Clinton is in excellent health and fit to serve as president of the United States,” the doctor said in a statement, according to BBC.
Health has been a huge issue in the 2016 presidential election. Recently, Trump’s doctor released a statement about his health, but its credibility was seriously criticized.
Hopefully, both Clinton and Trump are truly healthy enough to serve as president. We all know this job is the most demanding in all of the country, so the issue of health is one that needs to be taken seriously by both candidates.
