28-year old Hope Hicks, the press aide who worked with Trump since before the presidential campaign, has been named interim White House communications director.
She will fill the spot until they find a permanent replacement, reports Fox News. Hicks will help find the replacement. Her current title is director of strategic communications.
This comes after the firing of Anthony Scaramucci, who filled the position for only 11 days. Trump fired him in the aftermath of comments Scaramucci made about his then White House colleagues to The New Yorker.
It was reported at the time that new Chief of Staff John Kelly pushed for him to be fired.
Hicks has been around Trump well before joining his campaign in 2015. She worked at a PR firm and its client Ivanka Trump. She later joined the Trump Organization in her early 20’s.
