Oscar nominated actor Johnny Depp is in deep legal trouble after he failed to declare his pets when flying into Australia. Depp illegally brought his two dogs into the country and could now be facing up to 10 years in prison.
The actor, who is currently filming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, brought his two Yorkshire terriers into Australia via private jet and broke the country’s quarantine laws by doing so. Depp allegedly took the dogs to a groomer and after photos of him and the dogs began to pop up on social media, authorities in Australia threatened that the dogs would be put down unless they were removed from the country within two days.
Amber Heard, Depp’s Wife, flew back to California with both dogs but if this goes to court, the actor could face up to 10 years in prison or a fine of up to $340,000 dollars and his pilot could face up to two years in prison for his role in transporting the dogs into the country.
