Johnny Depp doesn’t really care about his recent movie flops.
In an interview with Details magazine, Depp explains why movie critics doesn’t phase him. He stated:” What is really satisfying is, like Marlon Brando, getting to that place where he just didn’t give a f–k,” “First, I reached a point where I cared so much and was so diligent in terms of approaching the work. Then you get to where you care so f–king much that it gets goddamn beleaguering, you know? But then a great thing happens. Suddenly you care enough to not give a f–k, because not giving a f–k, that’s the total liberation. Being game to try anything.”
With recent flops such as The Lone Ranger and Transcendence, many critics are starting to question Depp’s choices in movies. Many critics have wondered if he is doing these flops for the paycheck. Depp admitted that it has been difficult for him to “live up to the outsider’s expectations.”
Despite the flops, Depp says he will continue to play the Hollywood game.
