It looks like Journey is getting a new drummer for their upcoming tour dates following the arrest of their current drummer – Deen Castronovo.
According to the Portland local news source KOIN6, Castronovo was arrested on multiple charges including, “unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of menacing, one count of rape in the first degree, one count of sexual abuse in the second degree, four counts of assault in the fourth degree and one count of assault in the second degree, one count of coercion and one count of criminal mischief in the second degree.”
As if it isn’t awful enough that he raped and assaulted his wife, reports also indicate that the drummer has a bad history as he was arrested for assaulting a girlfriend back in 2012!
It has not been confirmed if these charges are related to his previous arrest from earlier this month in Salem, Oregon. This time, however, Castronovo is being held without bail.
The 49-year-old will attend a plea hearing on Tuesday while Omar Hakim fills in for the band’s U.S. and Canadian tour dates.
