New chilling details about the robbery of Kim Kardashian West have been revealed.

As previously reported, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was robbed at gunpoint in her private Paris apartment. She was then tied up and locked in her bathroom, while the robbers stole about $10 million worth of her jewelry.

After the news broke, sources came forward to explain just how frightening the incident was. One insider told New York Daily News that Kardashian West begged for the robbers not to kill her, since she has children.

“She begged for them to let her live and [said] she has babies at home,” the source revealed. “Then they wrapped her mouth in tape and put her in the bathtub.”

Another stated that Kardashian West thought she was going to die.

“Kim is very, very shaken up,” the source told Entertainment Tonight. “She thought she was going to die. They put a gun to her head while they were searching the apartment. She was crying, begging them for her life. It’s an absolute awful story. One of the most terrifying experiences of her life.”

While many are in agreement that Kardashian West deserves support for this terrifying experience, others are blasting her. Famous designer Karl Lagerfeld said she should not be surprised that this happened.

“[She is] too public, too public — we have to see in what time we live. You cannot display your wealth then be surprised that some people want to share it,” Lagerfeld told The Associated Press.

He added, “I don’t understand why [Kardashian] was in a hotel with no security and things like this. If you are that famous and you put all your jewelry on the net you go to hotels where nobody can come near to the room.”

Kardashian West has yet to break her silence since the robbery occurred.
