Today (Feb. 20) would have been the late and great Kurt Cobain’s 48th birthday, and Paddle8, an “auction house for the 21st century collector,” is doing something interesting with one of his belongings.
The Nirvana frontman’s Visa credit card is now up for auction. Instead of being tossed into the shredder like our old cards would be, it’s being offered as a part of Paddle8’s “Legendary Memorabilia from Rock Gods & Pop Stars” collection.
Get this: it’s expected to rake in somewhere between $7,000 and $9,000, according to EW.
The current bid is $8,100, so that estimate may even surpass its highest figure.
If you’re interested, the auction is open until Feb. 26.
