Mitchell said he handed Winfrey a Diet Coke and she was enamored by his gesture and offered him a position as her ‘’personal bodyguard.” It was after that that Mitchell claims Winfrey got close to him and encouraged him to be part of her family. Mitchell says Winfrey went so far as to ask his mother Eva Mitchell if she could adopt him.

Allegedly Stedman Graham, Winfrey’s longtime partner would take Mitchell to Chicago Bulls games. Mitchell tells Radar Online,’’We had a close relationship, Oprah and Stedman were like family to me.” Mitchell continues, ‘’I want to ask Oprah, ‘’Why did she leave me? I don’t have closure to this. I don’t understand.”

Mitchell says he was 11-years-old, when Winfrey first started to help raise him. For five years she would send him gifts and even paid his tuition at a private school. But later Winfrey abandoned Mitchell after he dropped out of the school. Mitchell claims he just wanted to come home and be with his family but Winfrey tried to convince him to stay. Mitchell believes he not only let down Winfrey but his whole family and is now just looking for some answers.
