Manny Pacquiao recently lost the anticipated fight against Floyd Mayweather. While the fight was lackluster, the two fighters are facing legal troubles. We recently reported that Mayweather is facing a 20 million dollar lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend and now Pacquiao is also facing one as well. News that the boxer suffered a shoulder injury before his fight with Mayweather broke on May 2nd and officials began an investigation in Nevada.
The fighter filled out a form, answering questions about his health but the boxer may not have answered the questions truthfully. Francisco Aguilar, the chairman of the Nevada Athletic Commission released a statement saying “We will gather all the facts and follow the circumstances…At some point we will have some discussion. As a licensee of the commission you want to make sure fighters are giving you up-to-date information.”
This information led Stephanie Vanel and Kami Rahbaran to file a class action lawsuit citing that it was “on behalf of all persons who purchased tickets; purchased the pay-per-view event or who wagered money on the event.”’
Mayweather went on ESPN recently and said that he would fight Pacquiao “a year after his surgery.”
