If you insult Drake, just know that the entire country of Canada will hate you.
Okay, so we’re mostly kidding, but when rapper, Meek Mill, insulted Drake on Twitter late Tuesday night, Norman Kelly, a Toronto councillor, did tweet Mill back saying that he was “no longer welcome” in the city.
If you’re not caught up on the latest Twitter drama (we know…there’s been a lot going on), let us fill you in: Meek Mill accused Drake of using a ghostwriter.
In other words, the rapper announced to the world that Drake doesn’t write his own raps, and in the Hip-Hop genre, that’s a massive crime.
So, is it true?
Well, there’s no actual evidence yet, so we can’t say. But, we can say that Mill is angry that Drake didn’t promote his album, Dreams Worth More Than Money, which Drake was actually featured on in the single “R.I.C.O.”
Mill tweeted, “Stop comparing drake to me too…. He don’t write his own raps! That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out!”
Ladies and gentlemen, shots have been fired!
We can understand why Mill might have an issue with Drake, though. The “Hold On, We’re Going Home” artist had a very close relationship with Mill’s current girlfriend, Nicki Minaj (Maybe you’ve heard of her?).
Even though Minaj insists that she never hooked up with Drake (in her song “Only”) Mill was apparently a bit skeptical. Plus, Drake frequently raves about how Minaj is the perfect woman.
So, what do you think? Is Meek Mill telling the truth, or is he just trying to get a rise out of Drake?
Either way, if Mill ever planned on visiting Canada again, those tweets were a bad idea!
