Mortal Kombat X is coming sooner than you think!
The highly anticipated game of the year is coming tomorrow for Playstation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Android, Microsoft Windows, and iOS. If you was born in the 1990’s, you will remember playing as Scorpion or Sub-Zero on the Sega Genesis. Ahh good times.
Twenty years after the original game, it looks a lot different. The first thing you will notice is the graphics. Gone are the 2D graphics in favor of next-gen technology. The game will be developed by NetherRealm Studios, the same developers behind the 2011 reboot of the series. The game will offer “unparalleled, cinematic presentation with dynamic gameplay.”
The next thing you will notice is the game modes. The classic Story Mode is back. Also included are 1 vs. 1 Ranked, King of the Hill, Survivor, and Test Your Luck. A new addition called Living Towers is an evolved form of Mortal Kombat’s Challenge Tower where the play conditions will be changing every hour. Another new mode is Faction Wars, where the players will have to choose one from the five factions (Black Dragon, the Brotherhood of Shadow, the Lin Kuei, Special Forces, and White Lotus) to align with and join a persistent online cross-platform competition with the others, winning points for their faction to contribute in the conflict between them, ranking up personally, and earning special rewards such as faction-specific finishing moves if the player’s faction win at the end of any given week.
One small yet highly anticipated feature is the Selfie Fatality and it sounds awesome. Yes, you can take a selfie with your beaten to death opponent.
Every original character is back for this game like Goro, Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage, Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Raiden!
Tomorrow you will hear the sweet words: Finish Him!!!
