35-year-old mother, Connie Foster, was found dead with her 2 kids Layla, 10, and David, 8 on Monday. There were no gun or stab wounds and the Alabama police believes it is a murder-suicide.
Foster was facing a custody battle with her ex-husband, David House, after their divorce in 2011. The parents had shared custody of the kids until March 2015, when House wanted to change their custody and filed legal papers claiming that Foster denied time with Layla and David. He requested to also pay less child support, even though his salary had increased.
Foster fought against his requests and wanted criminal charges against him for violating his week-to-week agreement. She claimed he never took the kids to church and never checked on their homework. She saw the kids more than 50 percent of the time because House was always working and he never desired more time with Layla and David.
A day before the tragedy, Foster posted a status on Facebook “My children, my world” with a red heart emoji.
