Muhammad Ali is believed to be on life support, since he has been dealing with respiratory issues. The 74-year-old legendary boxer was taken to an Arizona hospital on Thursday for having difficulty breathing at his home.
Ali has been hospitalized several times, including having a severe urinary tract infection back in January of 2015. He also has been battling Parkinson’s for a quite a while. His entire family is now by his beside as his medical conditions continue to worsen.
Bob Gunnell, Ali’s spokesperson, says his stay in the hospital will be brief and that he is in fair condition. His family has asked for privacy. Not knowing when his last moments will be is hard, so spending time with him as much as possible is needed. It is said that it will not be long until he passes away, but who knows? Ali is a fighter.
He won his first heavyweight championship at only 22-years-old in 1964. Ali received negative energy from the media for refusing to serve in the Vietnam War, but he then won everybody’s hearts again by winning the title again in 1974 and in 1978.
