It seems more and more companies are distancing them self away from Donald Trump. NASCAR revealed Friday that they will not hold its season-ending awards ceremony at the Trump National Doral Miami. NASCAR’s awards ceremony was held at Doral Miami last year, but after Trump’s highly questionable statements about Mexican immigrants, NASCAR made a stance.
NASCAR spokesman David Higdon issued a statement at Daytona International Speedway saying, “we looked at everything we saw coming down and what we heard from our sponsors and our partners and what we feel we should be doing, and that’s what led us to the decision today.” Higdon said NASCAR is looking for a different venue to hold their awards ceremony and plans to announce a location for the event later this summer.
