NFL player Brennan Williams quits football to pursue a professional wrestling career!
Although, Williams was selected by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft, he spent his rookie season on injured reserve and being out of football the entire 2014.
Williams was then signed to the practice squad of the New England Patriots last week but practiced with the team just once and was released a couple of days later.
He now decides to pursue a career in professional wrestling after a 3 year NFL career.
Williams claims that he won’t be stepping into the ring “blind” because he is going to be having Booker T, a WWE hall of famer, teaching everything he needs to know, according to Complex.
“He’s got a school in Houston called WXF that I’m joining (along with) his promo company,” said Williams.
Williams claims him and Booker T have a vision which involves “one that involves him locking arms with the big boys very soon,” according to Complex.
“I’m looking to get my feet wet while training with Booker and shooting for a contract with the WWE in January. That’s my plan,” said Williams.
Former NFL player has been an enormous wrestling fan for many years and is excited about joining the WWE.
