OJ Simpson’s parole could be in jeopardy after he was caught masturbating in his prison cell by a female corrections officer – which is forbidden in federal prisons in the U.S.

The 70 year old is set to go in front of the Nevada Department of Corrections Parole Board on Thursday, but the disciplinary hearing for the masturbation charges will not have been held at this stage.

According to the Daily Mail, a source inside the prison says this could cause problems for Simpson.

“OJ is facing a disciplinary hearing after being written up for masturbating in his prison cell. He was caught by a female corrections officer making her normal rounds in late June,” said the source.

“While it’s not the most serious charge to be written up for in prison, it’s serious enough that any potential parole date maybe be delayed or his parole denied all together,” they added.

The former NFL star has served nine out of 33 years in the Nevada prison for kidnap and robbery which occurred at Palace State Hotel and Casino on September 13, 2007.

Many people believe that Simpson has served his time in Nevada and will be granted parole on July 20, including one of the victims Bruce Fromong.

Fromong is set to testify in favor of his release during a meeting with four DOC parole board members in Carson City, Nevada by video conference held at 1 p.m.

According to the New York Post, even DA David Roger, who won convictions against Simpson in 2008 for robbery and kidnapping, agrees that Simpson has done his time.

‘The guy did a lot of time on a robbery charge, I expect he’ll probably be paroled,’ Roger said.

OJ Simpson’s best friend, Tom Scotto told Good Morning America on Tuesday that he is looking forward to a life outside the spotlight when released from prison.

“He wants to keep a low profile. Be with his kid, be with his family, play golf is one of his main things,” said Scotto.

“He’s hopeful he’s not going to try to retry the case. He’s done a lot of positive things in prison,” he added.
