In the words of William Congreve: “Music has charms to soothe a savage beast, to soften rocks, and bend a knotted oak.” Alt-R&B singer-songwriter and instrumentalist Tangina Stone, possesses all three charms plus she crafts heartfelt lyrics taken from the chapters of her life. And, we all know there’s nothing quite like music that comes straight from the heart—raw and uncut, like a diamond in the rough.
Originally from Canton, Ohio, Tangina first relocated to Brooklyn at the young age of 18 with the unwavering drive to catapult her career into mainstream success. Eventually, Stone solidified long-lasting relationships with local musicians, ultimately leading to the release of her debut EP The Fall in September of 2014. Critical acclaim received upon the EP’s release secured featured single Suntan (Remix) licensure on VH1‘s Love & Hip Hop Hollywood and TV One‘s Hollywood Divas.
Flash forward two years later, Stone has released new music, got engaged, and is currently on tour nationwide. Throughout all those life changes Stone was inspired to write “Ride Off” her latest offering from Elevate, her forthcoming sophomore set. Also, through documenting the occurrence of watching her fiancée suffer from the pain of losing her father—who was like a father to her as well—on this track, Stone gives us the raw and uncut access to her heartfelt feelings and deepest thoughts, as always.

Doors will open by 9:30 p.m for guests to mingle with other city-dwellers and distress from a hard day of work with even harder cocktails and delicious appetizers just before opening act Gemaine, takes centerstage at 10 p.m. Tangina is scheduled to headline at 11 p.m, find tickets here.
