New York police believe they have found the man behind the recent East Coast bombings.
According to CNN, 28-year-old Ahmad Khan Rahami is wanted for the explosion that went off Saturday night in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, which left 29 people injured. Police also want to question him for the bombing in Seaside Park, N.J.
After the Chelsea bombing, a second suspicious device was found nearby. Another was also found at a train station on Sunday in Elizabeth, N.J.
Police viewed surveillance videos near the scene of the Chelsea explosion, leading them to see a man, who they believe to be Rahami, rolling a duffel bag there.
Due to the explosions and multiple bombs found, officials believe there may be a terror cell at work in those two states.
The NYPD described Rahami as 5’6″ tall and 200 pounds in weight, with brown hair, brown eyes and brown facial hair. He is a citizen of Afghan decent, and his last known address was in Elizabeth, N.J.
WANTED The FBI AND NYPD are asking for assistance in locating Ahmad Khan Rahami. Rahami is wanted for questioning in connection with an explosion that occurred on September 17, 2016, at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the vicinity of 135 West 23rd Street, New York, New York. Rahami is a 28-year-old United States citizen of Afghan descent born on January 23, 1988, in Afghanistan. His last known address was in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
