Robert Plant is a very smart man. He just turned down $800 million dollars.

The 66-year-old singer recently rejected a 35-date tour that would have paid his band $800 million. They would have played in three locales: Berlin, New Jersey and London. Each of the band members would have been paid $300 million dollars each. British tycoon Sir Richard Branson had planned to reunite the Stairway to Heaven rockers and promoters had even gotten the green light from the other band members.

The rest of the Led Zeppelin group were urging Plant to accept the offer but apparently he keeps turning it down.

Some people want the money. Others don’t.
