THZ UPDATE: (7:15pm 8/18/2015) Rosie O’Donnell took to the Internet on Tuesday to get help finding her daughter, Chelsea, who had been missing since August 11. Thank god Rosie’s prayers were answered and now her daughter has been found safe and sound Tuesday evening. “Rosie wants to thank everyone for their help, especially the South Nyack, New York, and Barneget Light, New Jersey, police departments. Her daughter Chelsea O’Donnell has been located by the police and is safe in their custody,”

The View host’s 17-year-old daughter was wearing “a black sweatshirt hoodie, dark ripped blue jeans, women’s grey converse sneakers and a black backpack” according to a blog post that O’Donnell’s put on her website.

The girl was reportedly with her therapy dog at the time of her disappearance, a black terrier named Bear, and she has a large tattoo of a dream catcher on her right side.

A spokeswoman for the family told the press, “Chelsea, like millions of people, lives with mental illness” continuing, “It has been a difficult road for Chelsea and her family, and they just want her back safe.”

No information has been released on the details of the mental illness, but O’Donnell told the public in her post that her daughter had “stopped taking her medicine and is in need of medical attention.”

The comedian took to the web because the “Nyack, New York police authorities have been looking for [Chelsea] in the Rockland County area since Sunday, August 16” with no luck, so far. Chelsea’s mother (O’Donnell’s ex-wife), Kelli Carpenter, has also posted about Chelsea, asking for the public’s help.

Anyone who has any information on Chelsea’s whereabouts is encouraged to call 845-358-0206 or 911.
