Many people are saying that Vice President Joe Biden could be announcing his presidential run within the next forty-eight hours.
There has been much speculation as to whether Biden will run, with journalists and news organizations constantly changing their wording. Their “wills” are being coming “could” seeing as everything is based on speculation.
Earlier on Monday, White House spokesman Josh Earnest told the press,”I am confident that when he has made a decision, he’ll announce it.” In regard to the day Biden will actually announce it he replied with,”that’s something that only the vice president knows.”
Chief White House correspondent for Fox News, Ed Henry tweeted Monday around noon saying,”Three sources close to @VP telling me he’s expected to announce his is running but the sources are all urging caution on 48-hr timeline.”
Minutes later Henry tweeted again and said,” The three sources say @vp telling supporters in calls planning to jump in race but not rushing– watch Sat Jefferson Jackson dinner Iowa.”
David Axelrod, a chief strategist on Obama’s presidential campaigns said on Face of the Nation that Biden is “late in term of raising money” and that he would have a long hard road to go.
Many are saying that if Biden does announce that he is running it will most likely be prior to the Jefferson Jackson Dinner, held by the Iowa Democratic Party. Both Hilary Clinton and Bernie Sanders will be hosting rallies prior to the dinner.
