Actor Ryan Reynolds is set to play another iconic superhero.

The former Green Lantern superhero is set to play Deadpool in the upcoming anti-hero movie. Rumors have been swirling ever since test footage of the project leaked online. The video, shot a few years ago, also featured actor Ryan Reynolds in the lead. He first donned the Deadpool mask in X-Men Origins- Wolverine.

Deadpool is a anti-hero in the Marvel universe. This will be the first time that the wise-cracking anti-hero will be played in a movie.

Marvel’s Deadpool is scheduled to hit theaters on Feb. 12, 2016. Twentieth Century Fox and Marvel Comics announced the film release date earlier this year, with Tim Miller set to direct.
