McDonald’s fans who like to grab their food on the go by going through a Drive Thru will be disappointed to know that McDonald’s is cutting a wide range of items from its Drive Thru menu.
According to the Wall Street Journal, during a recent webcast meeting McDonald’s announced a global restructuring plan which would aim to speed up food delivery and make orders more efficient. The company plans to only display what they consider to be “top selling” items on their drive thru menu boards. This is not the first change the fast food chain has made in the last year, having also cut a range of items from their menu including the snack wrap, the deluxe quarter pounders and many of their chicken sandwiches.
The company also plans to introduce “mid price” menu items which will include a new chicken sandwich and a new double burger with cheaper versions that are served without the added vegetables. McDonald’s also reportedly plans to add some “all day” breakfast item favorites to their menus as well.
