Seven cars caught fire this afternoon in Detroit during a Tigers game. Thick black smoke and flames exploded in a parking lot outside of Comerica Park, and the seven cars were destroyed while two others were damaged from the heat.
The parking lot, Prime Parking, is located between Gratiot Avenue, Madison and Beaubien streets.
Firefighters responded to the eruption immediately, but the cause of the fire is still unknown. However, the fire department declared that they do not believe it was a result of arson.
No injuries were reported but the damage was severe on the cars.
