Yet another shooting has occurred at a shopping center.
According to ABC13, six people were injured by a shooter at a strip mall in Houston, Texas. Some witnesses stated that the suspect shot at cars passing by.
At around 6:30 a.m. on Monday morning, officials were sent to the mall to transport the victims to the hospital.
The shooter was described as as an African-American man, wearing dark clothing and holding several weapons.
Police were able to shoot and kill the suspect in the attack.
However, the scene is still under investigation. A source revealed that the suspect’s vehicle was found to have contained several weapons. A bomb squad is currently on the scene to further investigate the vehicle.
Antwon Wilson, a man who was caught in the crossfire, retold his chilling witnessing of the shooting.
“I literally heard the gunshots past my face,” Wilson told ABC13. “It’s a hard pill to swallow.”
This shooting came just a few days after two other mall-based attacks. The first was a stabbing in a Minnesota mall, which ISIS has since claimed responsibility for. The second was a shooting in a Washington mall, where five people were killed.
