Spring Valley High School students gathered to show support for fired school resource officer Ben Fields, on Friday.

Videos are being posted on social media only showing students attempting a walkout around 10am in support of the fired deputy.

Jeff Temoney, Principal at Spring Valley High School, had a discussion with the students during their walkout. Temoney stated that he “heard their voices and appreciates you for doing this.”

In addition, Temoney claimed that no one would be suspended as long as all of the students return to their class.

Students were also wearing t-shirts that say “Free Fields” and “#Bring Back Ben.”

Ben Fields was also an assistant football coach at the school who was fired, on Wednesday, after videos that went viral on social media. The videos showed the school officer forcibly removing a student from her desk after she failed to leave the room after being asked by a teacher, an administrator and deputy Fields himself, according to Wach.

According to Sheriff Leon Lott, he claimed that the student in the video has some fault in the incident but Fields was wrong to throw her and was a key component in the sheriff relieving him of his duties.
