Stacey Dash is already causing a stir at her new job as a Fox News correspondent. The former Clueless beauty made a heavy statement about Kanye West that created a buzz on social media.
As Fox News’ “Outnumbered” team gathered together to discuss hot topics in a segment about celebrities who speak before they think….Dash made a comment, slamming the outspoken rapper for comparing being followed by the paparazzi to rape.
On July 5, West said on stage at one of his concerts:
“I want to bring my family to the movies without 30 motherf***ers following me. Everybody here, they like sex right? Sex is great when you and your partner are like, ‘Hey this is what we both want to do.’ But if one of those people don’t want to do that, what is that called? That’s called rape. That is called violation.”
Dash, who starred in West’s music video “All Falls Down,” responded to his on-stage rant, saying:
“For Kanye to say ‘rape,’ maybe he needs to spend some time on Rikers Island. Go to Rikers for a little while and then he’ll know what rape is.”
“I don’t get celebrities not understanding that the paparazzi are doing their job.”
Dash, however, is not afraid of a little controversy. She re-tweeted both negative and positive comments that people made about her remarks. Looks like she is embracing the spotlight and standing by her decision to speak her mind.
What do you think about Dash’s and West’s off-the-wall comments?
