The best Sunday of the year is here!
This Sunday, the New England Patriots take on the reigning defending Super Bowl champions Seattle Seahawks at the University of Phoenix in Glendale, Arizona. Unlike last year’s Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, no snow is expected.
This Super Bowl has so many storylines. Will Tom Brady get his third ring and solidify his legacy? Will the Patriots be affected by the whole “Deflate-gate” scandal? Will Richard Sherman open his mouth again? In the biggest game of the year, who knows what could happen.
The most exciting storyline of the Super Bowl has to be the battle of the cornerbacks. Richard Sherman vs Darrelle Revis, two of the best cornerbacks in the league. In the past, they have gone back and forth via social media on who is the best corner in the league. With both playing in the big game, it might answer that age-old question.
If they win, the Seattle Seahawks will be the first team to repeat since the New England Patriots did it in 2004 and 2005. After their thrilling come from behind win against the Green Bay Packers, the Seahawks are flying high. With the Legion of Boom back in the big game, can they contain Tom Brady?
Speaking of Tom Brady, how would he do in this years Super Bowl? The last two Super Bowls that he has been in, he played the same team: The New York Giants. Both times, the Giants came on top due to game winning plays. Now that the Giants are not in the Super Bowl, how would Tom Brady and company play against a different opponent this time around?
Here is my prediction for Super Bowl XLIX:
Seattle Seahawks 27 New England Patriots 24
Super Bowl MVP: Richard Sherman
