A man was reportedly found with explosives, assault rifles and ammunition in his car on Sunday June 12, 2016 after an anonymous call about a prowler in the area of Olympic Boulevard and 11th Street of Santa Monica. When the authorities got to the man in question he said he was waiting for a friend, and initially there for the Gay Pride Parade there in L.A. West Hollywood. They then searched his vehicle and found “tannerite,” an ingredient used to make pipe bombs and ammunition. They have no idea yet or not whether this is connected with the massacre shooting in Orlando, Florida or not. The man has been arrested and his name not yet released. A reporter from the ProPublica send out this tweet from his source detailing the call in of the incident.

The Gay Pride Festival still kicked off at 10:45 am reportedly. The mayor didn’t want to shut the Parade down, instead they implemented heavy security as well as undercover officers attending the festival. They are assuring people reportedly that there is “no known credible threat.” More on this story as it unfolds.
