Who would have thought that Taylor Swift and Kanye West would be at it again? Remember their last encounter that sparked a lot of controversy, when Kanye West managed to interrupt Taylor Swift as she was accepting her MTV Music Award? Well fast forward to 2016… Kanye has managed to instigate yet another controversy, this time over the lyrics he embedded in his new “The Life of Pablo” album aimed at Taylor. Kanye raps “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, I made that b**** famous.”
Although Kanye claimed that he had reached out to Taylor’s camp about the lyrics and got a solid okay to release the track, Taylor came out swinging denying the claims.
Taylor’s rep said “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyrics, ‘I made that B**** famous”.
For someone like Kanye to think that a girl like Taylor Swift would be okay with being degraded as a woman and actually volunteer to publicize it on her own twitter page, sounds a little absurd to say the least.
Kanye fired back by tweeting “I called Taylor and had an hour long convo with her about the line and she thought it was funny and gave her blessings.” You can’t help but wonder who the liar is here?
Taylor’s brother was clearly offended by Kanye’s lyrics and showed whose side he’s on by actually making a video of him throwing away his Yeezy sneakers on his Instagram page.
